Swami Vivekanad was pupil of Sri Ramkrishna Parmhans , Parmhans was
pupil of Sri Totapuri. Sri Tota puri belonged to village Ladhana of Dist
Kaithal of Haryana .story goes like this that Totapuri went from
Haryana to Bengal to initiate RK to sanyas.and told him that he has come
specially for this purpose. RK said when Ma Kali comes in person to him
during sadhna why should I take Diksha from You. Totapuri told him that
you ask Ma because Ma has sent me. This whole episode appeared in a Ph D
thesis carried out by a 70 years Monk Sh vanmalidata under Guidance of
